NORTHERN NATIONAL ANNOUNCES INAUGURAL BENEFICIARY
Assisted Living Southwestern Ontario to use Convention as a Promotional and Development Platform
Windsor, ON. Brimstone Games presents the Northern National ‘Convention, featuring the Cartoon Kingdom Fan Experience, is pleased to announce Assisted Living Southwestern Ontario (ALSO) as the official beneficiary for the convention this fall in Windsor, Ontario at Caesars Windsor, September 29-October 1, 2023.

Founded in 1938 as the Ontario Federation of Cerebral Palsy (CPA), then renamed in 1991 as the Association for Persons with Physical Disabilities (APPD), and in 2010 as Assisted Living Southern Western Ontario, ALSO delivers a variety of programs and services to a diverse range of clients including adults with physical disabilities, brain injury survivors, and Windsor-Essex County seniors.
Northern National will advertise ALSO programs and services prior to and at the event, and will look for ways to raise money for the charity through attendees, exhibitors, sponsors, and celebrities.
“The team at the Northern National is excited to appoint its inaugural beneficiary,” says Northern National President, Jeremy Renaud. “We look forward to collectively enabling an experience for ALSO to use the convention as a promotional platform to engage individuals in our community while raising awareness for its programs and services.”
Local area business and convention Gold sponsor, The CG Realm, will have a live and silent auction throughout the three-day event. Individuals and organizations can drop off items on Friday, September 29 at the convention.Event activities will take place on Saturday, September 30 (via live and silent auctions) with payments occurring on Sunday, October 1, 2023.
“We look forward to supporting the charity,” says The CG Realm Owner, Jeremy Richard. “Our staff will collaborate with Northern National and ALSO’s volunteers to provide an exciting program.”
Details about The CG Realm’s Auction will be released this fall along with other ways for the public to become involved and support ALSO through the Northern National.
The other top two finalists in this year’s selection process will also be acknowledged. Fight Like Mason Foundation and Windsor & Essex Crime Stoppers will have the opportunity to promote their organizations and raise funds on-site.
About the Northern National: Brimstone Games presents the Northern National Collectors’ Convention (Northern National) will take place inside the Augustus Tower at Caesars Windsor from September 29 to October 1, 2023. The regional Cartoon Kingdom Fan Experience (CKFX) will be co-launched with the national event.
The Northern National will have all the accents of a traditional card expo and will enable the Trading Card Game (TCG) community (including brands ranging from Pokémon, Magic: The Gathering, Digimon, Yu-Gi-Oh!, Disney Lorcana, and Dragon Ball Z) to have a national presence in Canada. Along with CKFX, it will be a hybrid convention with all the trimmings of a pop culture event with celebrities, athletes, and much more.
