Casper Van Dien to make the first-ever Northern National appearance!
Windsor, ON. Brimstone Games presents the Northern National Collectors’ Convention featuring the Cartoon Kingdom Fan Experience, is pleased to announce that Casper Van Dien will be joining the event in Windsor, Ontario this fall at Caesars Windsor, September 29-October 1, 2023.
Van Dien, played the lead role in Starship Troopers as John, “Johnny” D. Rico, in 1997, and through Paul Verhoeven’s cult classic Starship Troopers. His character grew from an emerging high school athlete to enrolled private then General where his character was featured throughout sequels and animated adventures.
Van Dien, presented by Brimstone Games, says he’s excited to meet with fans at the event to provide a unique Starship Troopers experience.
“The Brimstone team is excited to welcome Casper Van Dien to Windsor,” says Brimstone Games’ owner, Sean Mangin. “As a fan of the series, like many others, a cult following for this sci-fi adventure is bound to come out of the woodwork to meet this amazing guest later this fall.”
Van Dien was the lead in Tarzan, Amok in Alita: Battle Angel, Brom Van Brunt in Sleepy Hollow, and Johnny Cage in various Mortal Kombat films.

About the Northern National: Brimstone Games presents the Northern National Collectors’ Convention (Northern National) will take place inside the Augustus Tower at Caesars Windsor, from September 29 to October 1, 2023. The regional Cartoon Kingdom Fan Experience (CKFX), will be co-launched with the national event.
The Northern National will have all the accents of a traditional card expo and will enable the Trading Card Game (TCG) community (including brands ranging from Pokémon, Magic: The Gathering, Digimon, Yu-Gi-Oh!, Disney Lorcana, and Dragon Ball Z) to have a national presence in Canada. Along with CKFX, it will be a hybrid convention with all the trimmings of a pop culture event with celebrities, athletes, and much more.
